Mel Baiada is the founder of EventUpon/Basecamp Business and serves as managing partner of BaseCamp Ventures, an early-stage venture capital investment company founded by Baiada in 2000. An entrepreneur at heart, Mr. Baiada founded Bluestone, Inc. in 1989 to provide technology expertise to Fortune 1000 companies and government organizations. Under his direction, Bluestone rapidly grew to a multi-million dollar company, earning its inclusion in the Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S. for three straight years, from 1994 to 1996. The software arm underwent a successful IPO in 1999 and was acquired by Hewlett-Packard in 2000. Through his generous contributions, Drexel University was able to add the Laurence A. Baiada Institute for Entrepreneurship in Technology to its campus. Mr. Baiada currently serves on the Boards of Drexel University, New Jersey Technology Council and several private companies. Mr. Baiada currently resides in Moorestown, New Jersey with his wife.
Chris Baeckstrom heads product management, strategy, and account management. Chris was one of the original members of Bluestone beginning in 1992 through 2000. He worked in product management, began the national and international sales channels and did direct sales. He spent ten years working for a Fortune 100 company in IT Management and Project Management. Chris rejoined Mel in 2013 doing what he loves best, building solutions that make a difference. He has a Masters in Computer Science from Villanova and is involved with numerous non-profits, as both a volunteer and in board positions.
Pavel Kurdin is the technical project manager on the project where is responsible for software architecture and final sign off of the release. He is self motivated, reliable and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
On EventUpon he oversees the implementation of the technologies which include: AngularJS (front end); Symfony 2 (back-end); the Solr enterprise search platform; and many other technologies such as Stripe payment and LinkedIn integration.
Pavel is a project manager of Artezio, which he joined in 2012. He graduated in 2002 from Vitebsk State University with a Mathematics degree. Pavel currently resides in Minsk with his wife Maria.
Maksim Kovrigovich is the lead developer on the project where is is responsible for all software development. He is self-motivated, reliable and has ability to manage multiple projects at once
Maksim is a senior developer at Artezio, which he joined in 2011. He graduated in 2002 from Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics in Minsk with a degree in Computer Science. Maksim currently resides in Vitebsk with his wife Maria and their cat Kot.
