We will spend at least half of the day in the river that is cold, but you will adjust within 5 minutes of wading. We will have a fun filled day on this Bucket List Hike! Bear in mind that we lose one hour in Utah. Afterwards, we will stop for dinner in St. George at the Black Bear Diner before returning back to the Cannery in Vegas. This will be a long but fun day. You will never forget this hike.

Suggested Items to Bring

$20 for your driver for gas and park entrance fee ($25 without pass)
$20 for dinner in St. George at the Black Bear Diner
Pack a lunch
3 liters of water
At least one strong walking stick, two is better
Old shoes or hiking boots or water shoes that protect toes from rocks
Small towel and change of dry clothes for dinner and return trip
Camera and waterproof bag for memorable pictures

At the Cannery, look for my Yellow Mercedes Benz in the parking garage 2nd level left. We will arrange rides in a carpool and once everyone is present and accounted for we leave at 7:15 AM.

We will regroup in the Zion Bank rear parking lot in Springdale, Utah at 921 Zion Park Blvd, Springdale, UT 84767. The bus stop for the Zion shuttle bus is in front of Zion Bank, which will take us to Zion Park Visitor Center, switch to a shuttle bus that takes us to the Narrows. Our goal is to be on the Zion Bank Shuttle Bus at 10:00 AM UT time. I will appoint a sweeper vehicle and hiker equipped with one of my radios to stay in communication throughout the day.

We will maintain a moderate pace. This is all about feeling good, fun and enjoying each other's company. We will allow enough time for potty breaks, photos, rest stops, snacks, lunch, and to enjoy the scenery along the way. Along with lunch we suggest you bring 1 liter of water for every 2 hours of hiking in summer weather, and half that in winter weather. Please read the entire description before you RSVP.
