Please bring your mat and join Tony for yoga near the lagoon, across from Funky Bones. We'll start at 8:30am.
Class style is breezy, no-nonsense, with notes on alignment and noticing sensations in the body (weight balance, tension, compression, stretch). After yoga, you are welcome to join our informal meditation group at An Lac Buddhist Temple near 30th and Emerson for seated meditation, walking meditation, and discussion.
Directions to Yoga:
Google Maps: "IMA 100 Acres Parkinglot"
The parking lot is between the IMA and I-65, accessible only from westbound 38th St (White River Parkway East exit).
Walk into 100 Acres from the parking lot, which features a goofy basketball themed installation. Turn left at the giant tree branch swing set. Follow the path to the white rock-looking things you see ahead (Funky Bones). Veer right towards the lagoon and the green metal deck.
I am offering these classes to the community as volunteer service. Please consider donating to Second Helpings.
Second Helpings and its volunteers rescue fresh, perishable food, prepare thousands of hot meals per day, and deliver them to community organizations for free. It also offers free culinary job training to people in need, who go on to work here in Indianapolis.
Tony's Teaching Cred:
Each week, I teach two yoga classes and lead a meditation at Eli Lilly and Company. I've been teaching there since 2013. I also co-facilitate the Saturday meditation at An Lac Buddhist temple. I took my RYT-200 at Peace Through Yoga Eagle Creek in 2013 and taught there for 1 year. I love being in nature and helping people sharpen their skills. How to find us:See Below
