What we'll do
What could be finer than a walk through the woods, swamps, and marshes of Goose Creek State Park on a crisp February day? Join us at the Goose Creek State Park on Saturday, February 10, 2018, to enjoy about a 5-mile hike. We will begin on the Palmetto Boardwalk Trail and cross the freshwater marsh to the Tar Kiln Trail. Well see Mallard Creek and remnants of a Long Leaf pine logging area. Well wander along Goose Creek Trail and then cut back towards the trail head. The hike is Easy and the distance is Moderate. Bring water, lunch or snack (optional), appropriate winter protection and good walking shoes. Youll need to sign a liability waiver before we get started.
Directions: From NC 92 west of Bath, follow the sign to Goose Creek State Park. Optionally from Greenville, meet at Ollies discount store at 10th Street and Memorial Drive at 9:00 AM.
