TYPE: STSP Weekly | PACE:PConversational | TERRAIN: Mostly paved trail, some grass/dirt trail, some road | DISTANCE: Approx. 4 mi |

One of our longest standing walks, rebooted with new Walk Leader Robin. Come and explore parts of the High Line Canal and Aurora city streets. We have a range of colorful participants including a host of friendly and inviting regulars.

Walk Leader: A long time walker of this route, Robin recently was trained to take over for Donna. She's excited to lead the Aurora Amble 2.0. If you have questions or concerns about weather you can reach Robin at 7 two zero - three 4 one - two two 95. (It is easier for me to reply to a text than to answer the phone during a work day, but please do feel free to call or text, and do leave a message if I cannot answer.)

Schedule & Parking: We will meet at 7:30 am at the front doors of the Aurora Central Library. There is plenty of parking in the lot. This is a NEW, earlier time, in anticipation of hotter weather during the summer. Well introduce ourselves, answer any questions and lightly warm up. Please plan to arrive before 7:30 am as we will leave NO LATER than 7:35 am. We should be done walking no later than 9:30 am, usually by 9:00! The library is not open at this earlier time, so please use the restroom before you come to the walk.

Trip Notes:

- Dogs welcome: We will be walking a loop going back to our starting location. Please consider whether your dog can handle 4 miles when walking in this season and insure that your dog is calm, well behaved and MUST stay leashed. Please be sure to bring baggies.

- There is only one restroom, at the library, and it will not be open to us before the walk, so please plan to use restroom before you leave home OR after the walk at the library.

- Consider bringing: comfortable socks & shoes, light backpack w/ plenty of water and snacks, layers appropriate for temperature and weather, sunglasses or hat and sunscreen as there is not much shade on the path. Do bring a camera, we often see wildlife (rumor has it a bald eagle frequents the route).

Welcome Waivers: Please fill out the online Welcome Waiver or download, print, sign and turn in a hard copy if this will be your first Walk2Connect walking experience this year. If this is your first time walking with this trip leader, please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to connect and learn more about the walk.

RSVP: You can RSVP one of two ways 1) Here on Meetup or 2) Texting Robin at 7 two zero - three 4 one - two two 95. If you RSVP here on Meetup, when I cancel a walk you will get an email notification that I have done so.

You are welcome to text me in the morning to check status or confirm the walk is going. But remember, no news is good news. We go unless otherwise notified. (Also know that I love bundling up and walking in the weather, so it'll have to be VERY cold and VERY wet before I'll cancel!)

How to find us:We meet at the entrance to the library.
