Please notice that this months meeting is on a Wednesday. Interstate has a prior reservation for the day before. We will switch back to Tuesday's in December.
Novembers GBC pick is Nathan Hills debut novel The Nix, a hilarious, touching, and fantastically woven story about a son abandoned by his mother as a child - an event that continues to mark his days. Well admit, this months book is a long read, but we promise it will be worth more than just the arm workout! The short chapters keep the pages turning and the storyline pulls you right along to the end.
New members are always welcome at our monthly book clubs! New and attending alone? Dont fret - our host will welcome and introduce you to fellow GBC gals and youll be making new friends in no time!
We promote independent/local book shops and are trying to partner with relevant stores to bring you discounts on GBC choices. So stay tuned for more information on this. In the meantime, you can order your copy online here:
Please keep your RSVP current so we can maintain a good relationship with this venue! I set the time for 6:45 so we can get drink/food orders in and get acquainted before we start the discussion at 7pm. Interstate is letting us use their facility free of charge so please try to support their local business as well. They are on the corner of 10th and Santa Fe and there is a free parking garage with entrance on 10th as well as free street parking in front of the restaurant on Santa Fe. We will be in the back room.
*This is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
