Big news: Philly just crossed 1,000 Greened Acres in the effort to protect our water!
Thanks to the support of local organizations and green champions in our residential and business communities, the green tools spread throughout our neighborhoods are today soaking up nearly 28 million gallons of stormwater every time Philly gets an inch of rain. That can add up to over a billion gallons over the course of a year.
Mayor Jim Kenney, City officials and the Philadelphia Water Department want to recognize all the green infrastructure advocates working with us to achieve this milestone. Together, we're creating cleaner waterways for all Philadelphians.
RSVP & join us at City Hall for a special evening with the broad coalition making this countined growth possible.
