The Office of the Student Advocate, in partnership with the Ward 7 Education Council, & Karen Williams, President of DC State Board of Education,will host our February Ward 7 Parent Leadership Series session on Saturday, February 10th from 9:30am until 11:30am. Registration and a light breakfast will start at 9:30am.


Have you ever wondered how Councilmembers or the Mayor set the city's agendas?

Or how people charged with educating your child determine priorities?

Do you question having your voice heard on how to improve your child's school?

If you have these questions, this session is for you!


This session will focus onUnderstanding the Power you have as a Parent and resident of the District of Columbia this session will be co-facilitated with the DC Fiscal Policy Institute.

Time: 9:30am until 11:30am (session registration and a light breakfast will start at 9:30am).
