The Abolitionist  5k is being held to raise awareness and funds to support the abolition of human trafficking.  Hosted by the Central Florida Love 146 Volunteer Team. 

REGISTRATION
Early Registration (Now through October 29th) - $30
Late Registration (October 30th to November 7th) - $35
Day of Race Registration - $40

AWARDS
Awards will be given in the following categories:
Top 3 Overall Male, Top 3 Overall Female
Three deep in the following age groups for male and female:
14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+

TIMING AND SCORING
This event will be chip timed using a disposable chip on the back of your bib.  Please be sure to wear your bib on the front side just below your chest to ensure accurate scoring. Bibs not worn in the proper place may not receive a proper time.  Results will be posted onsite day of race and online.

PACKET PICK UP
5K packets and bibs will be available on the day of the race starting at 7:00am.  Please be sure to allow enough time to park, pick up your bib and attach to the front of your shirt before the race starts promptly at 8:00am. 

T-SHIRTS
All pre-registered participants will receive a special event day t-shirt.  Sizes are only guaranteed to participants registered by Thursday, October 31st.  Shirts and shirt sizes are not guaranteed for day of race registration. 

RESTRICTIONS
For safety reasons, bicycles, skateboards, inline/roller skates, motorized carts of any kind and pets are not allowed on the race course.  Baby strollers and baby joggers are welcome to participate, but must start at the back of the starting pack.  Children riding in strollers or joggers do not need to be registered. 

The course starts and ends at Speer Park. It is flat and takes place on local, tree-lined, neighborhood streets through Oakland. Some streets are paved while others are gravel and may have uneven surfaces.  There is one hill towards the end of the course.

VIRTUAL RUNNER
Supporters are invited to sign up as a virtual runner and support Central Florida Love 146.  All registered virtual runners will receive the same official event shirt as registered runners plus swag bag.  Virtual runners do not receive a race bib and will not be timed on the race course.  Participation in the race is not expected.

REFUND POLICY
There are no refunds or transfers for this event.  This event will take place rain or shine.
