This workshop is developed for people who wish to learn or improve skills for competitive grant writing, recognize potential barriers and develop practical solutions. The workshop covers fundamentals of writing proposals, ways to develop/refine projects ideas as well as components of a successful proposal. Information shared will assist attendees on how to build partnerships; communicate with sponsors and navigate internal processing and routing processes.
In addition, the workshop will help individuals understand the process by which government agencies and private foundations support research, education and service activities. Attendees will be introduced to several funding sources such as government agencies, private foundations and their missions in order to match project ideas with potential sponsors.
