Ubuntu is a Bantu word loosely translated "I am because we are." Our signature culture/history lessons set the stage for a powerful culturally responsive learning experience.

K-5th graders will learn to play the keyboard, and perform in a keyboard ensemble under the tutelage of highly trained BUMP Instructors and Music Mentors from local universities.Young artists will master their musical instruments as they explore the cultures, histories, artists and expressive elementsof the African Musical Diaspora, and perform musicfrom around the globe.

Ubuntu Academy will prepare children and youth for a lifetime of music making, positive identity and creative empowerment.
