A trail work party will meet Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at 8:45 a.m.,in the parking lot behind the Early Childhood Learning Center, 495 Blake St., New Haven, at the corner of Valley Street. We will focus on pruning back the Teal Trail, which has a heavy overgrowth of invasive plants. Those who came on Jan. 6 made good progress in opening up the forest. The leader will likely work for four hours, but others can certainly depart any time they need to leave. If participants have pruning loppers and/or a pruning saw, please bring them. The leader has tools to share with those who do not have any. Be sure to wear work gloves, boots and clothing appropriate to the weather, and bring water and food.

Directions: From the Wilbur Cross Pkwy. (Rt. 15), Exit 59, head south on Rt. 69 to the merge with Rt. 63 South and continue to Blake Street. Turn left on Blake Street, then left again at the first traffic light onto Valley Street, then right into the parking lot. Park by the pedestrian bridge over the West River.
