Tai Chi has a growing body of research proving its efficacy in treating disease, injury, and physical limitations. While Tai Chi form is important, the principles of Tai Chi are what facilitate the healing process.
This workshop emphasizes Tai Chi principles and the benefits of these Tai Chi principles as evidence basedtherapeutic intervention. You will learn the six basic principles of Tai Chi through simple Tai Chi form and QiGong.
Through this experience, you willlearn how to apply the Tai Chi principles to various patient diagnoses and clinical settings for addressing component deficits as well as functional outcomes.
Therapists gain knowledge in modification and application for best therapeutic benefit and safety.

What is the start and end time?
Each day starts at 8am and ends at 4:30pm. Lunch on your own. Morning and afternoon breaks (with snacks) are provided. Please bring your own water bottle.
What do I wear? Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move easily in. Also wear tennis shoes or other shoes that offer support but do not inhibit your movement. No sandals, flip flops, etc.
Do I have to be in great shape for this? No. This form of excercise is attainable to all. You can even do it seated if you need.

Does this course count for PTA and OTA continuing education credit? Yes.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable? Yes. If you wish to transfer your ticket to someone else, it is imperative that you let us know so we can record their attendance and print an accurate certificate. It's best to email us at the above email address.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No.
What is the refund policy? You have two weeks prior to the workshop to cancel for any reason with a full refund minus processing fee of $15. After two weeks, there is no refund but you can transfer your ticket to another person.
What if I lose my certificate after the course? There is a $25 administration fee for replacement certificates. So file it away carefully please! I don't enjoy spending time sending replacement certificates. (I'd rather be doing Tai Chi! :-)
I have a special need such as hearing/vision impairment. Can you provide accomodations? Yes, I will do our best to accomodate any special need. Just let us know in advance, please.
