Mount Baden Powell is arguably the easiest of the 6 packs, but don't let that fool you. This mountain deserves it's due, with it's amazing views, and challenging trail, leaves you satisfied with your daily dose of adventure.
The trail consists of 44 switch backs, 3000 gain to an elevation of 9,407 through mostly wooded trail with spectacular views. Considered strenuous due to the hike distance, elevation gain, and altitude. Bring at least 2 liters of water and lunch for the summit, hat, sunscreen, trek poles, appropriate clothes.

After the hike we'll stop for some food at the local eatery.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From O.C., take the 91 Freeway east.... take Interstate 15 north.... exit Highway 138 toward Wrightwood.... proceed 4.6 miles from the town of Wrightwood, California to the junction of Highway 2 (Angeles Crest Highway) and Big Pine Highway (N4).... turn left (west), staying on Highway 2, reaching Vincents Gap in five miles. Vincents Gap is a large parking area for many trails on the left or south side Highway 2. Adventure pass required. Pit toilet at trail head.

Plan on about seven hours of hike time, including our rest stop for lunch at the peak.
