LEARNING OBJECTIVES

As a result of participating in this activity, the learner will be able to:
Discuss most common treatment regimens in critically ill patients undergoing hemodynamic imbalance.
Define elements of a Continuous Quality Improvement Program and analyze common causes of quality related events.
Describe the recent developments in the law as it relates to controlled substances in pharmacy practice.
Discuss the general causes, prevention methods and treatment options for cervical and breast cancers.
Discuss super ovulatory medications, their common uses, drug interactions and side effects in the treatment of infertility.
Discuss effective and professional verbal communication skills with multidisciplinary healthcare members and patients.
Discuss pharmacokinetic concepts commonly used in clinical practice.
Discuss most current medication treatment options for Type I and Type 2 diabetes.
Discuss alternative therapies for Type 2 diabetes and other chronic diseases.
Discuss and review medication management for vascular diseases.
Define medication requirements for patients in each of the ACCF/AHA stages.
