Here is an overview for this weekends dives. Most of which should have been previously reviewed at the classroom sessions.

Below are the planned dives for this weekend and what is required. Each diver should plan on being at the quarry by 7:00 am and parked on the Student side (not the peninsula) by 8:00. Our first planned dive should be planed for in the water by 10:00 am, allowing for proper dive planning, gear assembly, rehearsal, and checks.
Each diver is required to bring all of the equipment required for this course and to successfully complete the planned dives. This includes personal equipment, tanks with the correct gas mixtures, redundant equipment, back up equipment, safety equipment, log books, course books, planning documents, thermal protection ample for the planned dives and environment, proper hydration, and food consumption.
Jim is there there to administer the dives, to help with necessary questions and concerns, and to over-watch the diver's safety. Any questions regarding eh dive plans, what is required of the divers, or the weekend plans should be directed to him by 12:00 on Thursday the 8th.

Each diver must complete and hand in for review 30 min. prior to the planned dive time their complete dive plan for review and approval. Buddy teams, dive plans must be matching and coordinated. Ample time must be allocated for dive planning, rehearsal, proper gear up time, and all diver and system checks. The boat leaves the dock at the scheduled time. Delays are unacceptable due to poor planning on the divers part. A complete dive debrief will commence 30 minutes after the divers return to the surface. You must come prepared and be prepared, participation does not equal a passing grade, and your life depends on it a successful completion of the diving activities.

Since you are enrolled in an "Advanced Nitrox" and "Extended Range" class, it is assumed you have all of the necessary personal equipment to properly perform the required dives for certification.

As you can see by the dive plans scheduled for this weekend's certification dives, each diver is required to have with them, besides all their own personal gear, these class specific pieces of equipment;

* 7' primary regulator hose

* Stage bottle with regulator, set up to be slung in front or alongside of the diver, this should be a mountable and dis-mountable set up.

* Compass

* Jon Line

* Pony Bottle with regulator

* Lift Bag

* Wreck Reel

* Jersey Anchor
