7:05 - Project: open source profiling tool in Go (Zach Kauffman)

This talk will discuss a new open source project being written in Go that will help visualize memory, CPU and network usage for applications (think open source New Relic). We will walk through the current state of the project and outstanding work to which anyone can contribute.

7:25 -Introduction to the Docker Remote API with Go (Roberto Rojas)

This talk will cover the Docker Remote API used by thedockerclient. We'll take a look at the API code structure, demos of the API not found in the current version of the Docker documentation, like Events, Stats, and Network, how to secure access to the remote api, and how to access the docker engine from within a container.

7:45 - Main Presentation -Embedded systems development with Go (John Schaeffer)

In this talk we'll learn the fundamentals of writing programs for embedded systems using Go. While Go is typically used in server environments, with a little work it's possible to write software that is able to run on low-cost, single-board computers and interact with external hardware. Using the Raspberry Pi as our development environment, we'll cover the basics of deploying programs to the Pi, controlling on-board hardware, and communicating with embedded devices in pure Go.

8:30 - Mingle, transition to after-meetup

8:40 - After-Meetup Drinks (Misconduct Tavern 1511 Locust St, Philadelphia, PA 19102)
