Pronounced Tie-Chi, it is a gentle form of physical activity ideal for elders who have uncertain balance and a fear of falling. Frail persons who participate in Tai Chi activities can become more secure and confident. Tai Chi programs can even be adapted to include people in wheelchairs. There are several styles of Tai Chi, but all are designed to promote healthy lifestyles.
