SISQUOC TRAIL WORKING VACATION
April 14-22, Sycamore Camp
Hello Hello - It's time for another LPFA Spring Working Vacation, this time along the Sisquoc Trail in the San Rafael Wilderness based at Sycamore Camp. Come one, come all! We'll be driving in to the Jackson Trail head along the Sierra Madre Mtns on Saturday April 14 and from there getting mule support packing us down the 5 miles to Sycamore Camp, which will be our base for the week.
Our mission for the week is to clear the trail from Sycamore Camp to Big Bend Canyon. The Sisquoc Trail is spectacular along this stretch of the river and will be a terrific place to swing a tool or two.
As mentioned we'll have mule support to bring in tasty food and sudsy beverages and a designated cook for the week in charge of providing the best in wilderness camp cooking, including "COFFEE'S READY". All food is provided for volunteers. While we'll be in there for a whole week, there will be plenty of opportunities for shorter stays and we'll make room for you if you can spend 3, 4, 5 or more days on the Working Vacation. Let us know and we can work with your schedule.
The Working Vacations are always a great time! It's a terrific way to give back to the trails you love, explore some new parts of the forest and meet great friends along the way.
