What is Sustain?

Why is the Sustain plan needed?

Sustain provides an effective roadmap for the healing process our city needs in the aftermath of the October 1, 2018 massacre.

Who can be involved in the Sustain process?

Sustain works in collaboration with local churches, non-profits, businesses, law enforcement, first responders, Christian Licensed Counselors and counseling centers who specializes in Trauma. Phase 1 of the Sustain Plan for our city includes: Identifying and mobilizing local churches, pastors, chaplains and ministry leaders who would like to be a facilitator of a Bible study calledLiving HopeGroups.

How can I be involved with the Living Hope Groups?

Living Hopegroups are a ten-week post-disaster trauma response and Bible study group and a part of the Sustain initiative. These groups can be done within local churches, schools, non-profit organizations, community centers, and other locations. American Association of Christian Counselors will provide training in basic trauma and disaster recovery for Pastors, ministry leaders and chaplains to assist them in implementing theLiving Hopegroups.
