The Multi-Cultural Addictions Network, Inc. in partnership with the Orange Co. Drug Free Coalition and 12 other Community Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services Invite you to join us in a joyous celebration of recovery. The event celebrates the recovery of individuals, families and communities from alcohol, substance abuse and other drug dependencies. Individuals, families and friends are all warmly invited to walk, run and celebrated this momentous achievement of life recovery. We will gather at 7am on Sept. 15, 2017 at Pavilion #4 in Barnett Park to start the Run at 7:30am and the Walk at 8:00am. After we will have awards, lite refreshments, entertainment and inspirational speakers to cap off the celebration. T-shirts (while they last) will be given to all participants. The event is free and free parking is available in short walking distance from the event.
Recovery Month promotes the societal benefits of prevention, treatment, and recovery for mental and substance use disorders, celebrates people in recovery, lauds the contributions of treatment and service providers, and promotes the message that recovery in all its forms is possible. Recovery Month spreads the positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, that prevention works, treatment is effective and people can and do recover.
