Understanding your legal rights when your special needs child misbehaves atschool can be confusing. This presentation will explain the basics of thespecial education discipline process, as well as when your child may besubject to non-special education discipline. We will discuss an overview ofIEP behavioral supports and what happens when the supports are notsufficient. The presentation also will address manifestation determinationIEPs, special education rights in the discipline process, and what to do if yourchild has not yet qualified for services.
