Join us at Chittenden County's terrestrial jewel, the Catamount Family Outdoor Center, for a gorgeous morning of snowshoeing on Catamount's groomed trails.
One of our expert Outdoor Discovery Schools instructors will lead you on a brisk 2 1/2-hour loop through fields, woods and moderately graded hills while providing you with a wealth of information about the history of the first governor of Vermont's property.

WHERE TO MEET: From Burlington Exit 13E (I-89 South) travel 6.1 miles to Exit 12 (VT 2A). Turn left on VT 2A. Travel .8 miles to VT 2A East. Turn right on VT 2A East. Travel 2.3 miles to N. Williston Rd. Turn left on N. Williston Rd. Travel 1.6 miles to Governor Chittenden Rd. Turn right on Governor Chittenden Rd. Travel .6 miles to parking lot on left. Meet at warming hut.
WHAT TO BRING: Weather-appropriate clothing (layers; no cotton), insulated waterproof footwear, snowshoes, small day pack with extra clothes, snacks, lunch, water, personal medications.
OPTIONAL RECOMMENDED ITEMS: Sunglasses, poles, camera, binoculars.
