What we'll do
What we'll do
Hiking at altitude is challenging and fun, but ultimately dangerous, especially in winter. If you are sensitive to high altitude, in poor health, new to Colorado, or have never climbed a 13er or 14er in summer (or winter) conditions, please contact me so we can chat about whether or not this would be a good adventure for you.
Winter and spring are my favorite times of year to climb peaks. Join me on an adventure up to Sniktau, Cupid, Grizzly, Grays, and Torreys. These peaks are considerably tougher than climbing in summer conditions; however I would argue they are more fun. We will be on a ridge route to minimize avalanche danger. This is probably considered strenuous for most people. In the event of unfavorable weather the event will be rescheduled. I won't be able to make an official call until a few days before the event, so thank you in advance for your flexibility and understanding.
I will post a required gear list prior to the event. Unfortunately, if you don't have the required gear I will not be able to let you participate. It's for your safety and that of the group. Please let me know if you have any questions.
We will arrange a carpool.
See you there!
Will arrange closer to the date. Please consider carpooling, it helps reduce our carbon footprint.
Avalanche Conditions:Considerable/High/Extreme = reschedule
Dangerous windchills = reschedule
No Show Policy:
I am limiting this trip to 8. With that being said, no shows aren't cool. If your plans change please update your RSVP accordingly. If you have "no showed" in the past 8 months, you will be automatically moved to the waitlist, no exceptions. I want to give ladies who genuinely want to attend the chance to.
What to bring
Winter gear. If you have questions please let me know!
Important to know
This is a training day for me so I will be hitting all five peaks. If you want to join for one, two, or three (or any combination of) peaks that is fine, but please let me know in advance.
