This month's topic will be "How to Improve Your Photography with the Ten Commandments of Composition."

Composition is dependent on you and your ability to encompass what is necessary to produce an exciting photograph. No matter how you focus correctly, or expose correctly, if the image is uninteresting, it will be boring to the viewer. The old saying Garbage in equals Garbage out is the order of the day when it comes to proper, or pleasing compositions. All the expensive equipment you want to carry around can not fix a boring composition.

We must have at least 25 RSVP's or we will not be able to have this event. Using the projector requires that we have half the restaurant. This is not possible unless we have the minimum number of RSVP's.

A food or beverage purchase is not required. However, O'Keefe's serves a great breakfast starting at 8 AM. Here is a link to theirmenu. Please consider purchasing a beverage. They serve coffee, tea, Coke products and various juices. They are providing table service and will have a large room to cleanup after we leave.

The class is a more formal structure (unlike our Tuesday night classes) and Jeff will be using both a Keynote (PowerPoint) Presentation and a White Board to explain the basics of How to Improve Your Photography with the Ten Commandments of Composition.

The entire class is recorded, with audio, and will be available to download or stream for FREE for those that attend. Students will also be provided with a link to download all the slides used in the Keynote in PDF format. This will simplify note taking for some students.

If you do not attend the class or you miss a class, the recordings will be available to purchase or FREE for FCCP Supporter members.

What FCCP Members are saying about the class.

Jeff explains patiently, in a logical sequence, and with strict clarity. He continually checks for understanding, and dignifies all questions. His sense of humor puts everyone at ease . . . . . .Cade

Great class and great studio! I love learning in depth how a program works, so this class was spot on. I will be there next week! . . . . . .Kelly

Great group of people, great teacher & a comfortable, quiet meeting site! . . .Jane

I have had good instructors in the past, but Jeff Donald is by far the best. He speaks clearly and loudly, he knows his subject, he knows what is important to cover, he stays on task, he repeatedly asks for questions, he is friendly, he has a sense of humor, and he is everyones idea of a leader. . . . . .John

There will be lots of learning and laughter. Jeff Donald will teach each session and he's a certified Photographic Counselor by PMA. He taught photography for 4 years at Montana State University and started the Digital Photography program at the Dunedin Fine Art Center in 2002. Jeff worked for Apple Computer, Ritz Camera Center, and several regional camera retail chains and has worked with 1000's of customers and students during that time. Experienced members will be on hand to share tips & tricks and more.

There is free parking in O'Keefe's parking lot. If the front lot is full, please park behind the building, or in the lot next door.

Late comers are always welcome and stay as long as your schedule permits. Please don't feel obligated to stay the whole two hours. We know your Saturday hours are valuable.

My Recommended Retailers

Where you buy your gear matters. You expect to get what you ordered and you want to pay a low price for it. The retailers I recommend below are the ones I trust for my own purchases.

Adorama - The Photography People

Bringing you the activities and this site is now a full time job (typically 60-80 hours per week). Thus, I depend on membership fees and on the commissions received from you using the links on this site to make any purchase. My family and I are grateful for your support! - Jeff
