This month's topic will be "How to Improve Your Photography with the Ten Commandments of Composition."

Composition is dependent on you and your ability to encompass what is necessary to produce an exciting photograph. No matter how you focus correctly, or expose correctly, if the image is uninteresting, it will be boring to the viewer. The old saying Garbage in equals Garbage out is the order of the day when it comes to proper, or pleasing compositions. All the expensive equipment you want to carry around can not fix a boring composition.

We must have at least 25 RSVP's or we will not be able to have this event. Using the projector requires that we have half the restaurant. This is not possible unless we have the minimum number of RSVP's.

We offered Saturday Coffee & Photography meetings 6 or 7 years ago and it was very well attended with 20 to 30+ members in attendance every month. O'Keefe's Family Restaurant has offered to host our meeting the second Saturday of every month, so let's get it started.

The format of the breakfast meeting will evolve over time to what the members that attend feel is most helpful, friendly and educational. Initially it will be a little different from the Wednesday morning event at O'Keefe's. I will not be using the projector unless we have at least 25 members RSVP'd for the meeting.

I'm very excited about our prospects for a great group of photographers to discuss equipment, software, computers, share various tips and techniques. If you've got photo questions, camera questions, software questions, computer questions . . . bring 'em to the meeting, because you'll get answers.

Late comers are always welcome and stay as long as your schedule permits. Please don't feel obligated to stay the whole two hours. We know your Saturday hours are valuable.

My Recommended Retailers

Where you buy your gear matters. You expect to get what you ordered and you want to pay a low price for it. The retailers I recommend below are the ones I trust for my own purchases.
