This ride will be on the D&L so you will need a bike capable of riding gravel (cross bike, 29er mtb or gravel bike). Now that it is mid summer the mileage and the speed are going up. We will be doing 60+ miles and the pace will be 15-17 mph. We will also be starting at 7:30.

Preparedness is important on these rides. So have water, food, tubes, pump and other tools to handle small repairs. Also make sure your bike is in good mechanical condition.

It's a good idea to have an exit strategy on this ride in case a major problem occurs. So make sure you have someone who can pick you up if the need arises.

Remember you must wear a helmet and you are responsible for you on this ride.

For now we'll head down the Nor-Bath trail to Northampton and then head up towards Slatington and beyond. Maybe even get a Pickled Dog or visit the Crazy Chicken Lady.
