Happy Summer, Lez Hikers!

I figured with the amount of social events that I've been posted, a hike was in order;) Trail Length: 5.7 miles HOWEVER it is an out and back trail- so you are welcome to make it as long or short as you would like! Rated: Easy

Elevation gain: 477 ft

This does not seem like a strenuous hike and has raving reviews on a gorgeous coastline- members are welcome to make it a shorter hike, and turn back at a point prior to the end if they would like, and are encouraged to take the hike at their own speed! We have such a variety of members and there are always enough people with similar interests and fitness/hiking levels to break off into smaller pockets so that no one feels like they are too slow, or turning back too soon. I have heard from members that are both joining for the first time or that have been on a few hikes that this can be a concern so this is an event that is perfect to accommodate all levels. Point Vicente Park is a 5.7 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Rancho Palos Verdes, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Afterward, we will meet for lunch at the local shopping/eating center with plenty of parking- Good Stuff had a great patio and no problem accommodating our large group last time! As always, if you would like to join for the lunch portion- a comment will be posted when I have service with a more firm meeting time- however I am currently estimating and booking a reservation for 1pm. Please make an effort to carpool if at all possible! Parking can be difficult at any of the trail heads during the popular summer months. Utilize the comments section for inquires with other members. I can't promise they don't bite, but they seem civil enough;) Not many of us like getting up early on a weekend- however considering heat and parking, we will be meeting at 8:15am and departing the trailhead at 8:30am sharp. Please allow time for getting there and parking- and if you are unable to make it, un-RSVP or send a message/comment so that we are not waiting for you!
