You are invited to attend this Training Session for in-depth learning about the Safe Families ministry movement. This is dynamic, insightful training presented by multiple experts from across Cincinnati. For anyone interested in becoming a Host Family and/or a Family Coach, this training is a requirement. All others are welcome and encouraged to attend, to discern how Godmight be calling you to bless vulnerable children in our local community. Even if you are unsure about your role in the Safe Families ministry, this training can be a great way to learn and ask questions.There will be a range of topics discussed including: Understanding Poverty, Childhood Trauma, and Spiritual Warfare. Please come ready to learn and with an open mind and heart!
In preparation for the training, you will need to watch a series of online training videos at the following link. In order to access the videos you will need to create a new account.
There are 3 sets of videos. All volunteers are required to watch the Core video series. We also encourage you to watch the Host Family training and/or the Family Coach training series based upon your anticipated role or interest.
You will need to create an account to access the videos. After creating an account you will be asked for an enrollment key. Here are the keys for each role.
Meals:Yes, breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please arrive by 8:45 to sign in; training will begin promptly at 9:00am.
Childcare:Unfortunately childcare will not be available for this training.
