Because Scott is unavailable, andI missed it earlier this spring, we are heading (back) to Estes Park to run the Lumpy Ridge loop. This is an 11-14 mile route with about 3000 ft. of gain. It will take us about 3.5 hours. This is a favorite for many reasons, and one I'm psyched to get out and do.
At theNorth Foothills Trailhead at 7:00a At the intersection of Broadway and Hwy 36, head north on 36 a few hundred feet. Turn right onto the dirt road. Trailhead is a little ways down on your left.
At theStone Cup in Lyonsroughly7:20a- 442 High St. @ the corner of 36 & High, Lyons, CO
We will plan to start the run from the Lumpy Ridge trailhead around 7:45a - 8:00a. Afterwards we will plan to eat breakfast in Estes Park, assuming that works for everyone.
No dogs allowed on this one.
In the discussion below, please identify which carpool option we can expect to see you.
Also, for any of your non-running friends that want to join for a hike, they can start the loop in the opposite direction for a spectacular hike up to Jem lake.
