This Saturday well meet at the Doudy Draw trailhead at 7:30a and run one of our classic loops. The route will include Doudy Draw, Spring Brook, Goshawk, Fowler, Old Mesa, Mesa, and Upper Big Bluestem. Plan for a little over 2.5 hours and around 12 miles. We may add on a bit as well, but there are obviously shorter options.
Dogs are allowed, except for Goshawk, so youll need to take the service road and meet us at Fowler (its roughly the same distance, just not single-track).
If we get some weather and they decide to close any of these trails, we will plan to meet at the Doudy Draw trailhead if possible, or across the road at South Mesa, and we'll do an alternate route on the north side of the road.
To get to the trailhead, head south out of Boulder on Hwy 93. Turn right (west) on Eldorado Springs Drive and go about 2 miles. The trailhead will be on the left (south side of road).
For those of you that are not a Boulder resident, you can park at the park-n-ride at the corner of Hwy-93 and Eldorado Springs Drive if you want to avoid the parking fee. Just get someone to give you a lift to the trailhead. Use the discussion area below to coordinate rides.
