What we'll do
14 +/- miles from Rattlesnake Bar Boat Launch towards Auburn Dam Overlook and back.

This is a 14+ miler from the parking lot at Rattlesnake Bar - Folsom Lake Recreation Area outside of Newcastle. We will run the AR25 course from this point out towards the hill at ADO. If you are going the 14 or more, you will for sure have to climb some of this "damned" hill before turning around. Shorter distances can easily be done from here.

Be at Rattlesnake by 7:00 so that we can hit the trail no later than 7:15. Regular carpool location at 8000 Folsom Blvd - Home Depot by the Garden Center at 6:10. If you plan to take part in the carpool, please let us know so we can be sure we have enough drivers. It take approx 45 minutes from here. Additional carpools can be formed. Coordinate in the notes if you are meeting somewhere different.

What to bring
It's starting to warm up so be sure to bring plenty of water and fuel. There is no place to refill your water supply on this trail.

Important to know
Poppy Pass or parking fee is required. There is a small box at the entry with envelopes to put your money in. $10 cash plus a pen to write on the envelope. Envelopes pull from the bottom and then insert into the slit in the top. Bathrooms at the start only. Otherwise nature is your only option.

This section is gentle rolling single track until you come out of the woods at the very end....then it is all UP HILL on pavement and gravel road. Then we turn around and run back to Rattlesnake boat launch.
