Details, details...

Event Type: Day Scramble

Distance:7-8 km

I will go at slow to medium pace, dont expect high speed run for summit.

Elevation Gain: approximately 975M

Location:Start point is locatedat Spurling Creek, South from Canmore.

Equipment required: microspikes, helmet, hiking boots, mitts/gloves, toque, gaiters, hiking poles, sunglasses layered clothing, wind/water resistant jacket, headlamp with extra batteries, food and water.

Route Description: We will begin our trip on the West Wind Pass trail. This is a well defined hiking trail. Eventually we will head left of the trail (possible bushwacking). Follow the obvious ridgeline encountering several small cliff bands that will require hands on scrambling.

Expect some lingering snow if there is some snow on rimwall we can go to Windtower as second option.

Note: Despite recent warm weather and a promising forecast, it is difficult to predict the condition of a route in Alberta springtime. Our objective is subject to conditions/weather and can be changed at any time, including after we have set out on trail.

Your cooperation and understanding is appreciated.
