Ride leaders on the originial route dropped off, so route is changed. This is a rewarding ride, the fourth time we've done it.

Ride overview: This ride is patterned after the Worst Day of the Year Ride. This route is shorter than the actual ride, by cutting out some of the flats but incorporating all the hills.

Distance: 30.8 Miles at 12-15 mph

Elevation: 2400 feet. First hill section averages about 6 degrees with a very short 11 degree grade. Second hill section is a consistent 8 degree grade. Leader hill pace will not be demoralizing, so if you like, you can charge ahead. Know the route if you charge ahead because we wont be chasing you down!

Start Time: 8:30 AM. Meet and Greet at 8:15 AM

Traffic: Yes, City riding with bike lanes and Bike Paths.

Ride Category: Intermediate, Hilly The Route:http://ridewithgps.com/routes/11792341

Restrooms: (Availability and location): Restrooms on the way, but not at start, as starting venue not open yet.

Finishing Venue: Lucky Lab Taproom, http://luckylab.com/north-tap-room/. They will have brunch menu available, along with 13 craft beers, an extensive wine list, and creative cocktails.

Parking: Available in surrounding neighborhood.

Ride Coordinators / Event Host: Larry Stone,[masked]

Weather Policy: Cancellations will be posted 3 hours before ride time. Because of the steep downhill we may cancel or change the route due to rain.

At the end of each ride we will gather for a post ride social. You are encouraged to attend. Bring a lock. Carry a credit card, or cash to buy food or beverage.

CycleManiacs is a non-professional meet-up group of cycling enthusiasts intended to share a social, safe, and fun group riding experience with others. Mandatory for all riders: Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. This is a requirement and not a request. Please review each ride and determine which is the appropriate for your skill level.

Always bring plenty of water, snacks for energy. Bring a flat repair kit, including a spare tube tool kit and pump. Obey traffic laws and remember youre a representative of the greater cycling community

Working lights are mandatory for all evening and night rides.

No Earbuds.

Make sure your bike is in good mechanical condition to start the ride. We do not use the term all clear when crossing intersections. Conditions can change quickly. When Car Back is called, it means single file. These and other terms will be discussed at rides start. Each rider is responsible for his or her own safety and is expected to ride in a safe group riding manner, which does not create a danger to others.

Manage your RSVPs

The number of riders for each ride are limited by the event host, and based on the experience of the participants, the course, and conditions. If you sign up for the ride, and your schedule changes, you must change your RSVP to NO. This will allow riders on the waiting list to fill the vacancy and enjoy the ride. Please dont wait till the last minute. We will track no shows. Those who repeatedly no show may be moved to the bottom of the wait list.
RSVPs cannot include a plus one or guest. Every participant must be a member of CycleManiacs, and thereby in acceptance of the release and waiver of liability terms.

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

By participating in any posted event, you're taking responsibility for your own safety. Your RSVP signifies that you agree to the following.
Organizers, event hosts and other participants will not be held responsible for any individual at any event.
