Endorsed by Curators:
We believe that nature has the power to stir up resilience within cancer survivors and fighters. By reconnecting with nature, and participating in outdoor activities while in a supportive, nurturing environment, survivors and fighters will receive therapeutic treatment while on the retreat. This retreat is designed to allow survivors to take a break from doctors, treatment, and even well-meaning friends and every-day life, to reconnect with nature while surrounded by others who understand what theyve been through.
Survivors and fighters will be empowered through engaging in legitimate outdoor challenges to push their limits and face their fears. These outdoor events are designed to empower them to take on challenges they may have never encountered before... to rappel off mountains, kayak through lakes, hike on challenging terrain, and much more. By doing this, they will be able to regain confidence and self-efficacy lost to cancer.
We have partnered with the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service to afford survivors the opportunity to exclusively explore the wildlife refuges of our state, and learn of the beauty that exists in local national refuges. Our retreat will be held in the Wichita Mountains. Survivors and fighters will be taken on exclusive tours to explore the beauty within Oklahoma.
