Endorsed by Curators:
Shine On Remembrance Run is a 5k dedicated to the memory of babies who have been lost prematurely and for the families who have grieved these losses. Our mission is to promote hope and healing by means of community. Our second annual 5k will take place November 9th, 2019, at Lady Bird Johnson Park. We will have a remembrance event and afterwards the kids are invited to participate in the Rainbow Baby Run where they get to sprint with a cape! Proceeds will be donated to the San Antonio Chapter of Threads of Love http://www.threadsoflovesa.org/ and the San Antonio Area Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group https://m.facebook.com/ShareSATX/ www.sharesatx.com , though please note that Shine On is not a 501c3.
**MUST REGISTER BY OCTOBER 25, 2019 TO GUARANTEE A SHIRT FOR THE 5K AND A CAPE FOR THE RAINBOW BABY FUN RUN**
The race is organized by two mothers who have walked the lonely road of miscarriage and strongly believe in coming together to heal. We also believe in the power of laughter, song lyrics, and fun.
Whether your loss was years ago and you now have a "rainbow baby" or you're in the middle of your grief, come join us as we choose to "Shine On"! Our hope is this event speaks to the family who's love continues to shine brightly; the woman who remains strong for her family; and the life of the baby who did not enter this world, but illuminates brightly from beyond.
