STEMPaths offersProgramming for Interactivity and the Internet of Things: Part 1 and Part 2
Learn how to use Arduino microcontrollers to program for the Internet of Things the network of internet-enabled objects embedded in our day-to-day lives collecting, exchanging, and representing data. You will learn the basic electronics, Arduino programming, Internet connectivity and interactive design concepts required to embed Internet data into your own sensing, responding, thing.
Through hands-on projects you will also learn best practices for the life-long learning, collaborative knowledge sharing, and innovation exemplified by the maker culturefor children ages 8 - 13.
Housed in our Learning Labs, students will experience Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through fun and engaging projects and developmentally appropriate activities. Our programs foster creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration while building self-esteem and confidence in the STEM subjects.
Part 1: Basic electronics and intro to programming arduinos -4 Session - 3 hours each
Part 2: More programming working with different sensors, LEDs, and Internet -4 Session - 3 hours each (pre-requisite is Part 1)
