Looking for a good workout for a good cause? Come down to MyStryde for a Power Stryde class fundraiser on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018.
Cost is $30 and can be paid by Venmo, check or cash to Kevin Koncilja. The net proceeds from the class benefit the Martin Richard Foundation.
About the Workout - Power Stryde
This class burns calories on and off the treadmill. Be prepared for a combo of both running and strength exercises to whip you into shape. This class is formatted with 4 -8 minute intervals on the treadmill, alternated with 4 -8 minutes of strength exercises. We typically throw some dynamic mode exercises into these classes as well. (a special feature on our Woodway treadmills that allows you to power the treadmill). As all of our other classes, we work on an effort scale of 1 -5 so all levels are welcome in this class. About the Fundraiser
Founded in 2014, the Martin Richard Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation formed by the parents of eight-year-old Martin, who was killed in the bombing at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. The Martin Richard Foundation provides opportunities for individuals and communities to live out the values of peace, justice and kindness.
Your donation to the Martin Richard Foundation provides:
- athletic programs for kids with developmental disabilities in it's Challenger Sports program,
- micro-grants for community service projects through the Bridge Builders program and
- support to other local charities sharing those values (ex. Youth Enrichment Services, Project 351, Louis D Brown Peace Institute, Project DEEP)
