Route details: All three routes start in beautiful Redlands known for its historic Victorian and craftsman housings that line the streets and the Redlands Bicycle Classic that brings pro cycling teams from around the world. Redlands is a Bicycle friendly town known for its many green bike lanes and tree lined roads. A family based community with rolling hills and picturesque views cyclists from all over are drawn to Redlands.

The three routes to choose from are:

15mile fun ride- <a href="https://ridewithgps.com/routes/18886972">https://ridewithgps.com/routes/18886972

39 mile ride: Agua Mesa Route: 1,297 ft of climbing- many of the same scenic areas but a shorter distance https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19874723

62 mile ride: McCroskey Metric: 2,035 ft of climbing:https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19722849

The McCroskey Metric Century and the Agua Mesa routes travel to downtown Riverside and near the historic Mission Inn. Although a composite of many architectural styles, this facility is generally considered the largest Mission Revival Style building in the United States. A number of historic districts have been established in the downtown area and through the neighborhoods south of downtown. Most homes in these neighborhoods were built in the early 1900s.

The routes also roll near Mt. Rubidoux, a local landmark and park. The top of the peak is still the site of the oldest outdoor non-denominational Easter Sunrise service in the United States. Cyclists and hikers use the paved paths to the top for a panoramic view of the entire Riverside and surrounding valley area.

The Corey Metric Century route then rolls through a portion of the Jurupa Valley with its ranch homes and country feel. Both routes then merge in Rubidoux, which was the largest unincorporated community in the Inland Empire and in Riverside County until July 1, 2011, when it became part of the newly incorporated City of Jurupa Valley.

Agua Mesa was established in 1845 and was once the largest settlement in San Bernardino County. The town prospered for almost 20 years until the flood of 1862 swept away many of the buildings, leaving only the church standing. Though the town was rebuilt on higher ground, its prosperity did not return. The only remaining remnant of the town today is the National Register of Historic Places cemetery on the north side of Agua Mesa Road (mile 44.3 on the 62 mile route and mile 21.2 on the 39 mile route.)

The routes return to Redlands going past Redlands Senior High School, founded in 1891. It is the oldest public high school in the State of California still functioning on its original site.
