Our Awards Selection Process: A panel of distinguished judges will select three candidates per category, as finalists. Community organizations and/or individuals with personal knowledge of prospective nominees philanthropic efforts, will make nominations. The day of the awards ceremony, the recipients will be announced and recognized. The awards will consist of a trophy and a donation to the non-profit institution designated by the awardee.
Deadline and Nomination Form: Nominations can be made by any individual who is thoroughly familiar with the Nominee and their work. The Nominator must complete the Award Nominations Form in its entirety. Having the nomination form thoroughly completed is considered by our judges part of meeting the requirements. Please submit the nomination form by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will accept self-nominations. The deadline for receipt of nomination forms is October 15th, 2017. The Awards ceremony will be on November 15th, 2017. Award finalists will be contacted before the ceremony.
2017 Lider Latinoamericano en Filantropia
This person is a Latin-American individual, growing in support to philanthropic causes, with time, talent and treasure. Should be someone, who for a consecutive number of years, has been making a difference in the well being of those in need in South Florida. Leadership is what we want to recognize.
2017 Ruben Rotulo - Sembrando Semillas
This person is a Latin-American individual, who with very limited resources, if any, is dedicated to philanthropic causes. Should be someone who through volunteerism, impacts the lives of those in need in the community. These acts of kindness could be performed through a formal or informal organization.
2017 Voluntario Latinoamericano
This person is a Latin-American individual actively serving the South Florida community, dedicating her or his time to volunteering for one or more philanthropic causes. Should be someone who is a true example of volunteerism, and greatly impacts the lives of those in need in our community.
