Join Carolina Trekker and Namaste in Nature for a special weekend of Spring yoga, meditation, backpacking and camping! This experience will be unforgettable as the valley will be in full bloom as we take a break from our routines to reconnect with nature. Save $50 by booking as a couple and sharing your tent/supplies.

Art Loeb/Flower Gap (Approx. 12-14 miles roundtrip)
Level: Beginner - Intermediate both Hiking/Yoga

2 days/1 night - Rain or Shine

Includes: 2 Yoga Classes, Guided Meditation, 12-14 miles guided hiking, 3 Fresh, Organic Meals (Day 1: Lunch, Dinner, Day 2: Breakfast), Professional Photos, Outdoor Yoga Mat to borrow

Bring Your Own: Tent, Water, Sleeping Bag, Sleeping Pad, Mug, Bowl, Utensils, Headlamp, Etc.

Transportation not included; you must drive yourself to/from trailhead

Day 1:
8AM: Meet at Art Loeb Trailhead
8:00 - 8:30: Meet & Greet, Stretch
8:30: Depart
8:30 - 13:30: 5 Hours Hiking
13:30 - 14:30: Lunch/Camp Setup at Flower Gap
14:30 - 16:30: Optional hike up to top of Flower Knob for meditation/pics then back to campsite
16:30 - 18:00: Free Time
18:00 - 19:30: Sunset Yoga
19:30- 20:30: Dinner

Day 2:
7:00 - 8:00: Sunrise Yoga
8:00 - 9:00: Breakfast, Pack Up
9:00: Depart
9:00 - 14:00: 5 Hours Hiking
14:00 Depart Trailhead then enjoy the Parkway or Asheville, NC

Proposed Meals:
Lunch: Wraps (Hummus, Veggies), Trail Mix, Fruit (Apples/Oranges/Bananas)
DInner: Pasta with veggies, Smores
Breakfast: Oatmeal, Dried Fruit, Nuts, Granola, Instant Tea/Coffee

*Please note dietary restrictions/allergies during registration.
You are welcome to bring your own food as well.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early. We'll meet at the start of the Art Loeb Trail which starts on the right side of FR 816; look for a small vertical trailhead marker. There area public restrooms to use before or after the trek here in the parking lot at the end of the road.

Afterwards: Meander back towards town and enjoy some of the lookout points along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Sam Knob hike also starts close to here at the parking lot at the endt. If you want to explore a bit more, Graveyard Fields is just north of here on the Parkway at milepost 418.8 and Devil's Courthouseis just a bit further south at milepost 422.4.

From Asheville: (About 35 miles) Follow the Blue Ridge Parkway south for 26.5 miles past the NC 191 Parkway intersection at the NC Arboretum. Turn right on FR 816 (there will be a sign for Black Balsam Road) just past milepost 420. Follow this road about half a mile to the Art Loeb Trailhead.

Note: A little rain won't stop us but if the weather is really bad or roads are closed, a refund will be given.
