So here it is folks. The one many have asked for and some of you have dreaded. That's right its time for a century ride! ROLLING @ 7:00am SHARP. The route takes us out to Long Beach via Laguna beach for a day of coastal riding.
This will be the first century for some riders so slow and steady is the pace of the day. We will be riding at Touring speeds taking our time and enjoying the ride. I have mapped out several food, water and bathroom stops along the way.
WHAT 2 BRING:
Plenty of Gels, Goo, Bars or nutrition of choice. These will keep the Bonks away!
Hydration is also key - Bring 2 bottles of water
Tubes, air source, Cash, Card andID.
Long Beach Bike Path
The ride is only 100 miles and because the world is not flat there are some hills but nothing huge. So check out the map and POI's. ROLLING @ 7:00 The ride is a Fun Paced 15+ and as always it's a No Drop Ride.
NO DROP: This is an Intermediate riding group. You must be able to maintain a riding speed of 15+ mph (flats). If you can not keep this minimum pace you may be dropped. We have riders of all levels so a minimum pace is needed to ensure a good time is had by all. PRINT route slip from above map.
FASTER RIDERS: Please note that this is a no drop ride. We will be stopping and regrouping for slower riders. If you choose to hammer and get out in front of the group lead please know where you are going. PRINT route slip from above map.
