Endorsed by Curators:
2019 is our 11th year visiting the fascinating monthly, last Wednesday of the month "60 Minutes in Space" presentations in the Denver Museum of Nature and Science (DMNS).
Before each monthly presentation, we'll be going, on a 1-hour, 1-mile open-topic walking conversation, around Ferril Lake, in Denver City Park. For the past 4 years, after each monthly presentation, Pam Brown co-hosts the popular Snack and Chat time.
Co-hosts Fran and Richard Rew willl update the monthly walk section of these monthly events, with more details each month.
Meet co-hosts Fran and Richard Rew, at 5:30 PM at the Snowmastodon on the NW Corner of the DMNS. Fran will be carrying the TTWalks mascot, TTW frog, a green backpack frog.
FOR "60 MINUTES IN SPACE"
After the walk, beginning about 6:30 PM, we will be lining up to attend the first-come-first-serve 7:00 PM starting time of the FREE "60 Minutes in Space" presentation in the planetarium.
"60 Minutes in Space" begins at 7:00 PM.
When you're inside the planetarium, you could find Richard and Fran sitting in the 2nd row of the planetarium (or wherever auditorium the audience may be redirected to, in case of crowds being too large). We'd love it, if you could stop by to say "Hello" and have a chance to meet everyone.
The DMNS after-hours entrance is usually open on the west side's glass walled-entrance, except during special events. Whenever this entrance is closed, enter through the guard station's door just east of the main entrance doors on the north side of the DMNS facing the parking lot.
Before the DMNS started updating their website, it was possible, for you to view a video of each of the monthly "60 Minutes in Space" presentations online by going to a specific DMNS website. However, currently, this is not available.
FOR SNACK AND CHAT TIME
For those night owls, who'd like a late evening snack and chat time, after our walk and museum events, from about 9 PM to 11:30 PM, our snack-and-chat host Pam Brown has highly approved of our meeting-up in the Erawan Thai Cafe. This will be the second time that the TTWalks and Museum Muser groups will share the delicious food and warm home atmosphere of the Erawan Thai Cafe. It's located on 8th Street, just west of Colorado Boulevard (3919 E 8th Ave, Denver, CO 80206). Its a short 5-minute drive from the DMNS. There's plenty of free street parking, and empty free parking lots within one block away, with unused parking spaces, from closed day-time businesses. ~~ The Erawan Cafe is 40-years old!! The cafes owner and chef, Arthur "Art" Suthithanin, will be there to greet us in this attractive, cozy Thailand home atmosphere. Art will be keeping the cafe open until 11:30 PM, just for us! Thank you Art! He normally closes at 10 PM. ~~ For the menu, visit ErawanThaiCafe.com.
