FORMAT
Show up at 6:30pm for informal networking. Bring business cards, brochures, etc.

At 7pm we will workshop the 2 businesses "on deck," 45 minutes each. They give a 3 minute summary of their business, including opportunities, challenges, what they can give to the round table, what they need help with. We respond with 42 minutes of questions, feedback, and help. We also have a template that asks about customer/client acquisition, activation, retention, referral, and revenue (Pirate Metrics, see below).

REGISTRATION
Our seating is limited. The $50 fee is a placeholder fee to secure intention and cover basic costs. LIFT Champions, Partners, and Sponsors get $50 back when you show up. Others, $20 back. If you don't show up, your funds are donated to the Young Entrepreneur FUND (YEF) at LIFT. No exceptions.

COST AND USING THE BUDDY PASS
If you think there is someone who needs to be here, and who isn't, please talk to me. If cost is a barrier for new entrepreneurs, please use the free Buddy Pass and make them your guest. Guests may take advantage of the Buddy Pass for two workshops before paying full price (or becoming a LIFT member. WHO'S ON DECK NOV 15?

Pitch:
If you run a business, you want to be able to focus your time and energy on Core Operations your product or service, sales, and keeping your customers happy. Thats all vital to your continued success and growth. But as a business grows, and adds more people to the team, business owners can find themselves dealing with a whole new layer of issues, and spending more time on people problems than on anything else. Hiring, firing, staff turnover, employee retention, performance issues, conflict you can end up frustrated, overwhelmed and stressed out. You end up doing the work yourself anyway, you pick up the slack from other people you arent happy, because you didnt hire people to help you just so you could work longer and harder. You can feel like you are losing your grip on your business, and like your business is running you.We believe that your people should be your biggest asset, and your greatest competitive advantage, not your biggest problem.

I know small business from the inside out. I started my first business in 2005; Ive been an employer myself, and Ive been a Director of Organizational Development in a growing company with multiple locations and many layers of management. I am passionate about small business, because small business is so filled with passion, with values, and with a desire for excellence.Working with me is not about adopting a fancy, high-brow, strategic management solution that you dont understand if you dont have an MBA, and which you dont think fits your small business anyway. Im an organizational development consultant, but it really doesnt matter a rats patootie if you have no clue what organizational development even is. Working with me is about developing simple, realistic practices in your business, designed for real humans, which will allow for successful growth, and which will grow with you.If youve already experienced growth or change and are feeling the pressure, I want to hear from you.If youre totally miserable in your business right now and thinking about jacking it in, I want to hear from you.And if youre preparing for growth, hiring for the first time or growing your team, and want to make sure you have the tools to grow in greater comfort and success, I want to hear from you. Start as you mean to go on.

Ask:

The services I offer have morphed since I began, based around client needs and my own experiences/expertise. I still feel like I'm catching up! I'd like to:
- Reach a wider audience, and find new clients. How do I effectively get my message out there so people pay attention?
- Get traction with leadership support packages
- long-term coaching and support packages with an HR flavour including vital but often neglected aspects of people-management.
- If you employ staff (or know someone who does), what are some of the biggest problems youd like to solve, or challenges you face?
