Consultation/Supervision Groups Description:

Clinical supervision and consultation is an important aspect of ongoing counselor practice - no matter what context you work you - because it decreases isolation, increases accountability, provides necessary support, and reduces blindspots that we can all fall into. Taking clinical supervision and consultation into the group format just amplifies all of those benefits and adds the possibility of increasing your professional network while learning in a supportive community.

At Noeticus, we believe so strongly in the importance of high-quality, ongoing clinical supervision and consultation that we require all of our clinical supervisors to be trained in the counseling specialty of clinical supervision and to become Approved Clinical Supervisors (ACS) through the Center for Credentialing and Education. We also expect that all of our clinical staff engage in ongoing individual and group supervision and/or case consultation. In addition, our counseling staff work closely with their supervisors, mentors, and consultants to incorporate all aspects of the Noeticus Counselor Training and Practice Triangle into their ongoing therapeutic work. This ensures that they are not only growing in terms of their clinical abilities, but that they are also strengthening their professional identities and managing administrative necessities while cultivating who they are as individuals in society committed to the work they are doing (i.e. "citizen therapists).

What we have found over the years is that this is one of the most effective ways to establish and grow strong practitioners who work successfully in a broad range of mental health provision contexts and who are not only "well-meaning," but actually professional, ethical, and well-informed.If this is something that interests you, we hope you will consider investing in one of our upcoming Clinical Supervision and Consultation Groups in the new year.
