What we'll do
This is my favorite route. 3.25 miles, 900' vertical, and many downhill avenues are available. The view from this peak is wonderful, and is often above the cloud layer. Meet at the Raley's on Wedge Parkway at 6:45am, or at the lower Incline Peak pullout at 7:25am.
What to bring
Standard backcountry gear, if you have it. Skins or snowshoes, poles, avalanche transceiver, probe, and shovel. This is one of the rare outings that these things are not required for everyone, though. Newbies are welcome, but you will want to have snowshoes or skins as it is a bit far to be boot packing for the whole climb. I have an extra set of snowshoes, and an extra splitboard with medium bindings, if anyone would like to use them.
Important to know
It is great if you have have had some training, such as a "Know Before You Go", or a Level 1 Avalanche course. These things are not required for this outing, though.
