Grow Your Groupis a series of interactive workshops, spread over threehalf daysthat will help you to grow your Scout Group by involving and recruiting more adults (and possibly more youth members) and so be more sustainable.

It may well change your view on volunteering for Scouting. Put simply, it's about involving more adults in your Group, so we all do less but enjoy the experience more!

Registration for all Workshops will start at 8.30am with breakfast rolls for a prompt 9am start

Day 1: Saturday 30th November (9.00pm 1.00pm)

Ready Steady Recruit!

A session that looks at how we can get ourselves into the right situation to help us recruit new adults.Well also look at what might be preventing us from recruiting and how we can break down those barriers.

Its a walk in the park. The 6 steps to recruitment

A lively fun session that looks at tried and tested methods of recruiting new adults. Well look at the different steps and how they fit together as well as how to move forward if one of the steps doesnt seem to work.

We dont need superheroes we just need you!

This lively session will look at what your members parents may think and why we need to work with them.It will also look at how we can work with parents more often to really get them interested in Scouting

Too busy to help. Think again!

Get ready to think differently about Vacancies as we look at how we can write exciting vacancy cards and where we can advertise them. The sky really is the limit

REMEMBER:

The workshop works best when your Group is well represented, with participants from all your Sections (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) together with members of your Executive Committee. Please try and attend all three Saturdays as the continuity adds to the success of the event.Representation from the group can include parents, Executive members, leaders, helpers and managers.
