TYPE: Nature Walk| PACE: Conversational | TERRAIN: Trail | DIFFICULTY: Easy to Moderate | DISTANCE: Aproximately 3 miles | TIME: Approximately 2.5 hours
We will meet around the Hike for Health table at the Malabar Farm State Park VISITORS CENTER at 9:30 am. Richland Public Health, the manager of Just Walk Richland, will be handing out water, goodies, and an encouragement to get out and walk. We will start our day at their table.
Wear hiking boots / shoes since the ground will be either wet from snow melt or cold with snow still present.
Most likely we will walk to Pugh Cabin, then head out to a beautiful grove of White Pine. The walk should take about two hours total, with many stops to oh-and-ah over nature and God's not-so-green earth.
It is very important to dress appropriate for the temperature. Layers of clothes and wool-blend socks are highly recommended.
If cold, mittens and a thermal hat work wonders!
If the walk is canceled I will post that here.
