Upper Natural Bridge Trail is a 1.8 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Vallecito, California that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

This beautiful two-mile round trip hike will lead you to spectacular limestone caverns that have been carved out by Coyote Creek.

This majestic spot features a large creek that flows through massive caves. Bring shoes that can get wet and a sense of adventure! Bring a tube to go through the cave! There are picnic tables along the trail and at the end of the trail as well.

Best advice... arrive early... it gets crowded as the day progresses. Pack plenty of water... sunscreen recommended too! and a bathing suit or something you don't mind getting wet in because the short swim through the cave is breathtaking!

Getting There: Highway 4 to Parrots Ferry Road. Go about 4 miles and park at the marked trail head.

Because this is such a short hike, we can also explore the Moaning Cavern in nearby Vallecito afterwards (cost per cave tour $17.50).

If anyone is interested in grabbing food on our way back to Stockton in Angels Camp, that's also a possibility.
