Huntington ravine trail is very beautiful and enjoyable route to mt Washington. However, it is Class 3 route, which means it is not good for very beginner. It is scramble (very easy climb without a rope) on the exposed rocky terrain, where no falls should be taken. Previous scrambling or climbing experience desirable, as well as a good head for heights. Footware with good grip (Stealth, good Wibram or similar rubber) needed.
This trip is weather dependent, because the route is tricky when wet, while summitting mt Washington mainly depends on the wind. The preliminary date for the trip is July 30, but last moment go - no go decision can be made depending on "high summit forecast". If weather not collaborate, we may shift the trip for the following weekend(s).
There is option to come up in the morning, to stay at Pinkham Notch, or to camp at Hermit Lake the night before.
